On Saturday, March 28th we will have 3 field trips leaving from UD's Clayton Conference Center going to different areas to investigate restoration projects/organizations in the Brandywine River Valley. Trip #1 will tour Delaware's first dam removal project to enhance fish passage in White Clay Creek. Trip #2 will tour Mt. Cuba Center, Flintwoods Preserve and the Delaware Nature Society's Coverdale Farm Preserve. Trip #3 will head to Stroud Water Research Center in Avondale, PA to learn about the environmental monitoring work that their organization does to ensure clean water and healthy ecosystems.
Solidarity is a human family event celebrating the diversity of life on Earth. We are calling all humans to begin looking at creating healthy ways to discuss who is family, what is family, how do we nurture each other, and how do we become allies for each other. It is so important, now more than ever, that we learn how to live peacefully and lovingly with each other and nature. - This weekend will be the coalescence of Juneteenth, Solstice, an Eclipse, Pride day and Father's day. We see how each of these events are connected and woven together, and want to share this celebration with everyone. So come spend the weekend at Camp Singing Wind, now is the time to redefine how to be human. - There will be opportunities for learning, sharing, building community, physical expression of emotions, and creating balance. The event is designed around the concepts of Healing, Sustaining, Wilding, and Creating. Living in balance is a multifaceted experience! Take time to introduce your family to new skills, take time to rejuvenate spirit and body, take time for yourself, and take time to support the strong and resilient humans around you who work for a better world. While you are at it, take some time in the woods. -
